When a video game company creates a new console with the ability to play games of an earlier game system, it is mostly planned that the console should be backwards compatible at launch. But in Microsoft's case, Xbox games were not initially playable on Xbox 360's, therefore making the achieved compatibility an afterthought. As a result only a fraction of the games developed compatibility. Also, some of those that are compatible would exhibit some artifacts. Below is a list of Xbox games that are compatible with the Xbox 360. Additionally, the manner in which compatibility is achieved and the software errors associated with it are discussed in brief. This list is final as Microsoft confirmed in November 2007 that they are no longer going to be adding titles to the list. It should also be noted that, as of April 2010, original Xbox games can no longer be played online via the Xbox Live service as it was ceased for the original Xbox console, however, online multiplayer is still possible through third party Lan Tunneling programs that manipulate System Link, such as XLink Kai. Downloadable content for these titles are no longer available for download directly from Xbox Live. This includes the Xbox Originals downloaded on the Xbox 360 & any Xbox game running on the 360. ==Fluctuations in the list of compatible games over time== The original list was composed of 279 games and was unveiled on November 11, 2005 on the Xbox website; however, some games have been subsequently removed due to bugs. Six games were removed from the list: ''Codename: Kids Next Door – Operation: V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E.'', ''Curse: The Eye of Isis'', ''2002 FIFA World Cup'', ''NBA Live 2003'', ''Rugby 2005'', and ''Star Wars: The Clone Wars''. Seven games were removed temporarily, but were added back later: ''Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space'', ''Catwoman'', ''Grabbed by the Ghoulies'', ''Legends of Wrestling'', ''Mortal Kombat: Deception'', ''Pariah'', and ''Sid Meier's Pirates!''. ''He-Man: Defender of Grayskull'' remains on the list despite the fact the game was never released (it had been cancelled by the developer before completion). The Japanese version of the console was initially compatible with only twelve games, while the European version had 156 games. The last update for Xbox 360 backwards compatibility in North America was on November 27, 2007,〔(Original Xbox Games | Play Original Xbox Games - Xbox.com - Xbox.com ). Support.xbox.com. Retrieved on 2013-08-23. 〕 raising the total number of Xbox games compatible with the Xbox 360 to 461.〔 Approximately 51% of the original Xbox library is now compatible with the Xbox 360 (as of the November 27, 2007 update). The latest European update was in November 2007, now with a total of 476 compatible games. The latest update for Japan was released on November 28, 2007, with 122 working games. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「List of Xbox games compatible with Xbox 360」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
